Alex McCue Philly Debut with Jamicka Johnson-Hector

Green Soul, 1410 Mt Vernon St, Philadelphia, PA

We're headed to Philly! First set will be at the restaurant Green Soul (No cover), which is fitting because we like nature and also think that we have souls.

Ok anyway here's the official blurb and gig details: Saturday marks the Philadelphia debut of the Albuquerque-born vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Alex McCue (https://mccuemusic.com/). McCue uses his ethereal vocals and narrative sensibilities to paint pictures of utopia, apocalypse, and a world in between. He's played venues, bars, and breweries around New England and Mexico, has been featured in the Boston Globe and Radio UDG/PV in Mexico.

His work is heavily influenced by his daily meditation practice, and is inspired by contemporary greats like Frank Ocean, James Blake, and Bon Iver. His music has also been touched by his time in Mexico and his love of reggae, folk, and soul music.

McCue will be joined by Jamicka Johnson-Hector on bass. Music starts at 8 and runs to 10:30. The food and ambiance are great (I speak from personal experience), and we look forward to this cozy evening of art.
